Whether you are a first-time visitor, longtime member, friend or family, welcome to this place where together we sing, read,
pray, listen and break bread in thanksgiving and praise of God whose love brings new life.

Here people of all ages can find many opportunities for growth in spirit, heart, mind, and body through worship, learning, and service, all in the context of a caring community.

Community: We are welcoming, loving, and accepting of all into our community of faith and fellowship.
Tradition: We respect our Episcopal heritage of scripture, reason, worship, music, and prayer.
Spirituality: We joyfully acknowledge and respond to God’s transformative presence, grace, and beauty in our lives.
Education: We seek to grow spiritually by studying, praying, and serving Christ in all persons.

Summer Fan Drive   Good Shepherd will be participating in Family Eldercare's annual summer fan drive again this year.  Please drop off new or gently-used fans at the church office.  Our volunteers will get them to Family Eldercare for distribution  this summer to the elderly who do not have airconditioning.
This year, the preferred fans are the 20" box fans available for $12.99 at Home Depot, and two fans are usually supplied for the sleeping area of someone in need. This allows for cross ventilation. You may also drop off a check made out to Family Eldercare at the church office.  $13 buys one fan, and $25 buys two.  Questions?  Call the church office at 476 3523.

The Bridges to Home in August is helping a homeless family in the Salvation Army's Passages program furnish an apartment.  The family is a single mother, with four children ages 3,5,6 and 11.  Donations of money and gentle used sofa, easy chairs, dining room table and chairs, television, coffee table, end tables, and dressers would be greatly appreciated.  The money will be used to buy beds, kitchen items and furniture items not donated.  Phone or email Jill McFarland at 480-0532.

Calling all Acolytes!
Calling all parents of ACOLYTES, new and returning.  All Good Shepherd youth entering the 7th-12th grades are invited to serve in an important ministry as an acolyte. For the first time, we have a secure online registration form, so be sure to fill it out by August 15th so that we can plan ahead for the training sessions.
If you have any questions, please email Charlotte Sullivan  or Nancy McAllister. We hope to see you soon!
